The Ordinary bots (a species of robots that evolved naturally from the rocks of their home planet, who come from the star system next-door) need help. Something is wrong with their species and they cannot repair themselves. Upon hearing news that humans from Earth are making their first journey to the planet Mars, the Ordinary bots bet on humanity's care for their own bots. Making friends with the martian robots scientists that have explored the planet on behalf of humankind for nearly a century along the way, the Ordinary bots eagerly await the arrival of the humans.
